Learning Today, Shaping Tomorrow

It's the season of Gratitude!

Posted Date: 11/11/25 (02:36 PM)

Students at Prairie View are coming together to make a difference through a special service project called “Make a change with change.” Throughout the month, students will collect spare change to support the Open Door Rehabilitation Center in Sandwich, IL—a local nonprofit that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. Every penny collected will help fund programs like job training, community activities, and residential support. This project not only encourages generosity, gratitude and community spirit among students but also strengthens their connection to an organization that helps make our community more inclusive and compassionate. Students can bring any spare change to the office to contribute!
